His work, deeply rooted in the exploration of human vulnerability, gained international recognition after his participation in the 1970 Venice Biennale, where he presented exceptional pieces that marked a turning point in his career. Dar\u00edo has been part of the Luis Adelantado gallery since his first exhibition in the mid-1990s. Today, the gallery continues to work closely with his family, defending the values and interests of a legacy that remains fundamental to contemporary art.<br\/>   <\/p>\n\n<p>His solo exhibitions include those held at the Galerie Poggi in Paris (2024), the Fundaci\u00f3n Su\u00f1ol in Barcelona (2016), and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda in Madrid (2007). Notable group exhibitions include those held at the Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid (2024), the Museum of Modern Art in New York (2020-23, 1984), the Pinault Collection in Rennes (2018), XIV Lyon Biennale, Lyon (2017); Venice Biennale (2013, 1993); Istanbul Biennial (2011); Havana Biennial (2009, 1994, 1992); Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (1987).
