Luis Adelantado is pleased to present what will be the third individual exhibition of the artists Lamarche-Ovize (France, 1980 and 1978) at our gallery.

The exhibition called La cueva, sus flores y patrones (The Cave, Its Flowers and Patterns) is a resounding representation of the work that they have both been engrossed in over recent years. Hence, a diverse array of works teeming with stories and details will be on display in the main hall of the gallery, making it a stage of multiple narratives on the usual themes in their artistic project: popular culture, the history of art, comics, nature and children’s literature.
In La cueva, sus flores y patrones, through an almost childlike gesture, spectators can enter what has magically been converted in a cave. The laboriously stamped cloth that receives us is a portal of landscapes built from everyday objects.
Throughout the exhibition, humour and composure show us the peculiar outlook on art by this duo, which wanders between do-it-yourself and artistic pieces through floral drawings and paintings, stamped lamps, screens that are also caves and enamelled ceramics.
Finally, a long-haul piece of work materialises on which the artists have been working for a considerable time, an installation whose main element is the recordings that Florentine’s grandfather made in the 60’s, fragments of video that have been meticulously recompiled and archived, and which are now shown in this special project that takes us closer than ever to the intimacy of their work.
