Luis Adelantado Gallery is pleased to invite you to our next opening at Boiler Room. The young artist Alberto Feijóo presents Rosetta.
This work revolves around the experience of temporality, about the past, the present, memory and the persistence of personal identity through the years, drawing lines between history and individual stories (experiences) using visual language as a narrative.
Rosetta is an experimental investigation that takes as its starting point and reference point the famous Egyptian stele exhibited at the British Museum in London, where the artist has lived and worked. The enigmatic and famous Egyptian stone is thus erected as the driving force of a reflection materialised through photography, installation and sculpture. A transversal reading that generates a code between the past and the present moment. With constant references to the author’s own experiences. His interests are closely linked to the idea of the city, in this particular case the British metropolis par excellence; London.
In this way, there appear fortuitous protagonists, elements of western culture, messages, massages, symbols from elsewhere and cult objects. Personal encounters in spaces of reality and fiction.
